Guitar festival

On July 15, this year it will be ringing – the annual guitar festival will be held in the beautiful city of Cordoba. The event is not only entertaining, but also educational. Courses and workshops on making different types of guitars, composition classes, and of course performances are organized.

The stringed instrument was invented in the East, and not alone, there is still a dispute about what was the prototype of the guitar. Regarding Spain, which is often associated with flamenco guitar music, it all started in the 16th century. It was in Spain that an instrument with 5 strings appeared, which became known as the "Spanish guitar". It is considered the closest to a modern musical instrument. The sixth string appeared later, and the vociferous fame of guitar music began in the age of Enlightenment, at the end of the 18th century. And the most remarkable thing is that the Spaniard Antonio Torres in 1850 enlarged the soundboard and changed the neck mounting system, creating a "standard" for classical guitar, which is followed to this day. Therefore, the guitar festival in Spain is not just a gathering of musicians, but a culturally significant event for the whole of Europe and a great holiday.
